We are in that time of the year where love is in the air, extra loads of chocolate in our system, which just doesn't help us especially if we've been doing a great job dieting so far this year. But of course we are here to strike a balance between enjoying your time with your love one(s) and having a healthy Valentine's day. So here are some diet tips I'd like to share with you on how you can avoid gaining weight this Valentine's weekend.
1. Cook with your partner
This is a fun way of spending Valentine's with your love one since it is an activity where you can really spend lots of time together. Two great things about this is that people who usually cook somehow lose the urge to eat what they cook and another is that it's easier on the wallet.
2. Go with dark chocolates
This may be out of the girl's control since the guys are the ones who give the chocolates but if you do get a chance and let your partner know tell him you'd like some dark chocolates. Dark chocolates are healthier than milk chocolates.
3. Easy on the desserts
One of the best desserts this time of the year that doesn't sacrifice taste and presentation is the dark chocolate covered strawberries. As seen in #2, dark chocolates are the way to go and combined with strawberries, it is just perfect.
4. Give each other a massage
Enjoy each other's company and give your partner a massage. This will be better than the food that you'd be taking in the body plus you'll feel good after. If you can't give a good massage, I'd suggest you and your partner go to your local spa. This could be your "date" instead of going to a fancy restaurant.
5. Sleep after making love
People tend to look for food after having sex so make sure you do it late just before going to sleep. This will help avoid going to the fridge for some snack at night. If you feel the urge to eat, sleep on it.
DietToQuiet.com would like to greet everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! Have a healthy weekend everyone!

Having a tough time staying away from the refrigerator? Or simply can't stop thinking about food? You probably are bored that's why you're mind just keeps thinking about food. Worry no more as I will give you (and your mind) some craving busters. Here they are:
1. Keep yourself busy with activity
In other words, just distract yourself. Keep a diary of things you will be doing for the day and do them. Not only will you be productive but you will also avoid thinking too much about food. Just don't stress yourself too much with work.
2. Fill yourself with water
Get a jug or a water bottle and always bring it with you. This will somehow tell your mind that your stomach is full and you don't need to be going to the fridge regularly or driving through your local fast food chain.
3. Get some sleep..lots of it
In a study from the group at Columbia(indications are) that people who got five hours of sleep were 75 per cent more likely to be obese than the seven-hour people. With sleep, you'll have more energy to do more activity thus keeping your mind off food.
4. Chew sugar-free gum
You can argue that it might cause some gas in your stomach but at least it keeps you away from craving for more food. Plus chewing gum can somehow help lose weight.
5. Give yourself ten to fifteen minutes.
When craving, be busy or do something for ten minutes. If you're still craving after this, then just eat half of what you were craving ten minutes ago. The ten minute delay should help you stop your craving. Just observe after a full course meal and you wanting to eat dessert and you'll see.

As I was doing more research with fast food items that have more than 1000 calories, I stumbled upon this website, fatburgr.com (yep, it's spelled that way). So what is this fatburgr all about?
According to their site, their goal is "to create a single repository of nutrition information for all your favorite restaurants." It's that simple folks.
They have listings for Carl's Jr, McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Krispy Kreme, Wendy's and many more. They're also adding new food items regularly. On top of this, the greatest thing I like about them is that they have this feature called Get iFat. Well nothing special in our tech era since it's basically getting the nutritional facts, calories of the food you'll be ordering by browsing through their site on your iPhone. But you get to be aware of what you will be eating easily. Still a cool feature for me.
So if you need more nutritional information and easily access them then go ahead and visit fatburgr.com. Oh and they also have a very "please to the eyes" website.
And one last thing, I am not encouraging you to go to fast food restaurants regularly ok? By going to this site, you'll more or less understand how many calories you are putting in your body. Hope this helps you control what you will be ordering.
